The Company

Founded in 2000, Sensio has grown from a small, family-run business operating from the family’s garage, to a market leading authority on furniture lighting solutions. Still operating as a family business, they pride themselves on bringing high quality, innovative UK product designs to the global market year on year.

Objective

In a paper-heavy environment, Sensio were keen to streamline and automate the way documents pass through the business. Identifying that their manual processes were inefficient, they wanted to embrace new technologies and required the introduction of IT@Spectrum’s automated systems to help manage the high volume of invoices and sales orders coming into the business.

The Solution

Phase 1 of IT@Spectrum’s solution was to provide best-in-class Canon multi-functional devices, whereby Sensio scanned in documents to turn them into high-quality digitial forms. Phase 2 of IT@Spectrum’s solution was to provide Sensio with industry-leading ThereforeTM and Flexicapture software. The introduction of our Information Management solution allows Sensio to collect data directly from client Sales Orders and be posted into Sage200 automatically. Furthermore, the project also focused on the automation of mundane accounting tasks. By introducing intelligent invoice scanning and document management software, Sensio saw immediate time-savings amongst the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, through clever integrations with Sage200.

All incoming finance documents are now scanned, securely stored, shredded and easily retrieved at the click of a mouse. Documents are now distributed throughout the business, to the relevant people for authorisation, eliminating the problem of purchase invoices being sat on manager’s desks awaiting approval; again making the finance processes altogether more efficient.
